Theatre Surround System for Glyndebourne Opera

In 1992 agm was commissioned to supply a complex three-tiered auditorium surround sound system for the replay of ambisonically formatted surround effects. The then radically inventive and futuristic system was supplied to, and installed by, London company Theatre Projects.
Apparently when all small JBL surround speakers were in place there was a complaint from the designers of the theatre that these were not part of their visual decorative scheme in the auditorium and they were promptly removed. This left the system redundant and it is believed never to have been used to this day.
AGM remains however a pioneer in digital surround sound installations in theatres.
