For some years now we have been selling our TSS (Three Speaker Stereo) product (an analogue 19" rack-mounted audio processor). This technology took stereo and used the Gerzon/Trifield process to make a three channel version of the original stereo source.

The process is designed to give a true rendition of the original without adding effects or negative attributes. Many think it is easy just to pan stereo over three channels, it is not a good idea, don't bother trying. However the benefits of having three channel verisons of stereo are quite attractive.

Our TSS boxes are used all over the world mostly in post production studios for recreating stereo over LCR but also for sound-effects procession in IMAX films and live music processing in orchestral and operatic as well as theatre performances.

Now we have a software version designed for the transfer of stereo to three-channel in a PC. Usage includes re-release of stereo productions on multi-channel DVD right through to helping in the production of radio surround sound productions. Think of the conversion of a stereo sound effects library to work on LCR for example.
