Networked Encoding and Processing System

This system was designed to runon Apple’s xServe server system and handle audio processing. The following processes were to be licensed as part of a central system for organsed multi-workstation and even internet networked processing for large authoring and film production facilities.

DTS all format encoding
Dolby Digital format encoding
MLP encoding
Sample Rate Conversion
Time compression with pitch correction for 24 to 25 frame conversion of film audio
Format conversion MP3 and so on from higher resolution formats

Clients accessed the server via a browser interface, after logging into a specified account, a small Java interface was downloaded to the client machine (Mac, PC, Linux, Unix) that cross checked input files and transported these in a packed file format up to the server with batch processing metadata.

Upon completion of queued and scheduled/prioritised tasks the server notifies the client that encoded or processed files ae ready for collection/download.

A large part of this technology was purchased by DTS along with our Mac and PC based encoding software. The contract allowed for AGM to develop additional processes for the DTS system but as yet DTS has not decided to market the system....
