Anthony Morris:

We stepped in on this project quite late in a somewhat chaotic moment in its development. Some re-focussing was needed and I was asked to manage/produce the AV show. I wrote an 11 minute orchestral composition and recorded this in Munich (see audio productions page). I allocated the job of graphic design to Uli Sauerwein's company in Berlin who did a splendid job. We developed a special stage that had "wings" to the left and right of a smaller screen area and also above. You can see this from the picture.

The idea was to allow speaker support materials to be shown at a size that would not totally dwarf the lecturers. The AV show itself, an historical collage of hundreds of images, was to be impressive so I decided on a 19 Metre (yes, nineteen) wide screen area that was revealed by the smooth sliding of the wings to the side and up as the lights went down. The effect was staggering, with upwards of 36 large format slide projectors and 4 Barco-8000 high brightness video projectors projecting inserts into the slides it was a masterful display of imagery and synchronisation.

Surround sound over 4 channels with overhead effects insert.
