Since its formation in 1992 the ensemble has gained a reputation through its concert and recording activities for polished, yet spontaneous music making.


The group, which expands and contracts according to repertoire, consists of players who are all noted solo and chamber-music performers. In addition to the four artists heard on this recording, other regular members of the ensemble include internationally renowned soloists such as Jennifer Stinton (flute), Jonathan Carney (violin) and Richard Durrant (guitar).The Chamber Academy Ensemble has recorded CDs and appeared on British television with Richard Durrant and has made a number of recordings for the BBC featuring Jennifer Stinton.
